His creative talents have graced some of television’s most beloved shows, including ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy (where he serves as writer and producer), Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Netflix’s Bridgerton, and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Beyond being behind the scenes, RJAY has charmed audiences with appearances on popular Disney Channel series such as That’s So Raven, Raven’s Home, Kim Possible, and Sonny With A Chance.
A proud father of two beautiful children, RJAY’s dedication to his craft is matched only by his commitment to family. A Dallas native, he honed his artistic gifts at the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, an alma mater shared with luminaries like Erykah Badu , Norah Jones and Roy Hargrove. He then went on to earn a double bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and English from the University of Southern California. Further solidifying his mastery of storytelling, RJAY pursued graduate studies at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a Master’s in Creative Writing and a minor in Communications. With his remarkable talent and unwavering drive, RJAY continues to leave an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
